The American History Convention- Part 1

Hey, y'all! Today I seized the opportunity to take some pictures for a photo story! It will be split into at least two parts, since there were quite a few photos. The next part should be up next weekend.
------------------------------------

Ivy bounced up and down in excitement. "Ooh! I can't wait to get going!"
"Me too!" Emily smiled. "I've been looking forward to the American History Convention for months!"
Samantha smoothed the bodice of her dress as she replied, "I love getting the chance to dress up in any time period of clothing, and it isn't weird!"
"I enjoy that part too, but I also have a lot of fun learning about the history of America," Emily explained. "I particularly love learning new bits of trivia!"

Jess glided into the room and said, "Samantha, thank you for letting me borrow one of your dresses for the convention! It's absolutely lovely."
Samantha's head bobbed in a nod as she replied, "It's my pleasure! I couldn't wear all of my dresses at once, so it only seemed right to share them with you all."

"Oh, yes! Thank you, Samantha!" Ivy chirped. "I love this outfit! I just might wear it everyday!"
Emily giggled then turned to face Samantha."I want to thank you as well, Samantha. It was very generous of you to allow us to wear your beautiful clothes."
"No problem!" Samantha responded. Then her forehead crinkled as she said, "I offered Jessica one of my outfits, but she said she already had something planned. I wonder what on earth she has up her sleeve this time?"
"Yeah, where is she?" Ivy asked. "We need to leave soon!"

Suddenly, a screaming, black enrobed figure flew down from the ceiling and landed in the midst of the girls, who shrieked in panic.

"JESSICA!!!" The girls all yelled, realizing who it was.
"Yup!" Jessica grinned mischievously. "Surprised you guys, didn't I?"
"You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Jess declared.
"Why did you do that?" Ivy asked, her heart pounding loudly.

"Because I'm a ninja!" Jessica announced. "That's my costume for the historical thingy majig!"
Emily peered at Jessica through slitted eyes, miffed that her friend had startled her so much.

"Jessica," Samantha began. "You are supposed to dress for a time period in history, not as whatever you want!"
"Yeah!" Jess agreed. "I don't remember there being any ninjas in American history."

Ivy stepped in. "Actually, if there were ninjas in American history, you wouldn't know about it, since ninjas are trained in the art of stealth." She explained, "Ninjas would never let anyone know where they are-- or were. So who knows? Maybe there really were ninjas in American history!"
Jessica victoriously raised her hands in the air, giving Samantha and Jess a "in-your-face" look.

Samantha cleared her throat. "Be that as it may, we should get going. We don't want to be late!"
"Yes! Let's go!" Emily agreed.

"Woohoo!!" Jessica squealed in glee, settling into the splits. "Let's hit the place like a hurricane and leave them all wondering what happened!!!"
All of the girls excitedly left the house, sing-songing their anticipation for the event. Or rather, almost all of the girls left the house.

Jessica quietly watched her friends leave out of the front door. Then she yelled, "GUYS!?! Can you help me get out of the splits?!?"
Silence.
"GUYS!!!!!!! I CAN'T GET UP!!!!!!!!!"
---------------------------------------------------------
Stay tuned for the next part. I have something really cool to show you in the next installment!

The Russian Princess

Hey, y'all! I'm so sorry that I haven't posted recently, but I do have a good reason-- my very first college class! It's the winter semester, meaning I only have six weeks to get through an entire math book. I might only be able to post on the weekends for the next five weeks, due to my new school schedule, but I will do my best to post whenever possible.
Anyways, I have some fun shots to share with you! If you have visited Emma's blog recently, you probably saw that we went to a spot nearby that had snow, and we took some photos (read the post here)! It was really cold, and it was kind of difficult to take photos on the slippery ice, but I had a lot of fun with this photo shoot. I have a new appreciation for all of y'all who take photos out in the snow.
Samantha was my doll of choice. Using royal blue, fur, and a bit of sparkle, I transformed her into a Russian princess. I love fairytale photo shoots, and this set of pictures totally speaks for that part of me. I hope that you enjoy them!

Girl of the Year 2015 - Grace Debut Trip

Hey, y'all! Here are the pictures from the Grace debut yesterday that I attended with Jaclynn and Emma. If you want to hear a cool story about our joint trip, go read this post from Jaclynn.

I saw this window display on the way into the store, and fell in love with the coat! The whole outfit a store exclusive, so it's kind of expensive, but it is beautiful!

This is the view of the bookstore side of the store, on the right when you walk in. The people on the right of the black rope are all looking at Grace (she's in the window!).

Et voila! Grace! She's lovely in her Parisian inspired outfit.

Here is Grace's incredibly detailed and beautiful bakery! What Emily would give to have a setup like this...

Grace's baking outfit. If you ever get this outfit, I don't think you will regret it! The apron has a complete skirt, going all the way around the back, and the straps on the back of the apron have a couple of bows! So adorable.

Here is a closer look at the set. There is an oven, utensils galore, and a display case for Grace's goodies.

There is a refrigerator and a little table as well!

Here is Grace's PJ set. I love these! The pattern and the ruffles on the pants, the bows on the top and slippers, and the pastel blue make this a stylish pair of PJs.

I saw this outfit on the way to the escalator, and I thought the tutu was adorable! I love the tiny little puffballs on it!

Here is the BeForever archive! And that's Emma, checking out the dolls and such.

Here is Julie's spot! I love the chair and the beads. Definitely groovy.

I love Samantha's ice cream parlor and this outfit! I also love the boots she's wearing.

Here is Grace's display window. Can I just say, that I want to live here??

Here is a photo of Jaclynn and Emma with their new Grace dolls!

I hope that you enjoyed looking at these photos! I had a great time walking around the store, and I even bought a few things! For the first time in about five years... It was weird, but really fun! Check back in the future to see the new things that I got.

P.S. Did you go to Grace's premiere?

Waiting in Line...

Hey, y'all! Guess where I am? In the line outside of the American Girl Place for the New Years debut of Grace, Girl of the Year 2015! I'm planning on taking some photos of the inside during the festivities. I'll post them later, in case you can't make it to the debut yourself. Here are a couple of pictures of the line I'm in.

I'll be talking to you later!
