Samantha's Showcase- Part 2

 Samantha arrived at the dance studio and got ready to practice her dance. She finished her dance and took a practice bow. She had danced her best, and really felt great about her performance.

 

"Now, if I can dance that well tomorrow night, then I would call that a job well done!" Samantha said aloud.

 



 

"Yeah, if you dance that well tomorrow night, then I'm definitely going to have to bring something to barf in," said a snobby voice. Desiree was Samantha's biggest rival at the dance studio, and also the meanest person there.

"Hello, Desiree. Have you practiced yet?" Samantha asked. She always tried to be polite to Desiree, but sometimes she lost her patience easily.

"That is what I'm going to do now. But don't be too upset by how awesome my moves are. You still have one whole night to improve," Desiree snubbed Samantha.

 



 

"See you tomorrow at the showcase! Really, you shouldn't bother coming at all. You would just embarrass yourself," Desiree maniacally laughed as she headed to the stage to perform.

Desiree danced extremely well. She was a very talented dancer, just no one wanted to tell her that, since she would only rub it in every one's faces even more than she did. The dance she was going to perform at the showcase was a hip-hop dance; one of the coolest moves she did was a spin on the floor.

 



Desiree finished her dance with her Michael Jackson pose, then exited the stage.

"Wow, she did well. But I did well too, and I can't wait for tomorrow!" Samantha thought.

 



 

After the dress rehearsal was over, Samantha got undressed and put on her normal clothes.

"Tomorrow is a big day! I can't wait to put my tutu back on and dance," Samantha thought.

Samantha put her tutu on the floor of the studio, and left for home, still excited for the next day.

She couldn't wait for the performance.

Samantha's Showcase- Part 1

On a cool fall night, Jess and Jessica sat down on their couch, wrapped up in blankets, and watched their favorite movie together- or rather, Jessica's favorite movie, the Karate Kid.

 

 

 Jess had made some delicious popcorn to go along with their movie, and Jessica was extremely grateful, since it was one of her favorite snacks.

"Oh yum, popcorn..." Jessica stared, transfixed with the beauty of the kernel.

Jess looked over at Jessica, slightly weirded out that Jessica was just staring at her food, and not actually eating it.

"Are you going to eat it, Jessica?" she asked.

 

 

That was when the precariously balanced bowl of popcorn fell to the floor.

"Oh goodness!" Jess exclaimed. "Jessica, help me pick up the popcorn."

Jessica said nothing.

 

 

Jess stood up and began to collect up the popcorn, while Jessica ate her kernel.

 

"You know, you really should be helping me," Jess told Jessica.

"But you do such a good job, I would hate to get in the way," Jessica responded with a grin.

 

 "Hi you guys!" Samantha said as she walked into the living room.

"Oh, hi Samantha! You look really pretty in that tutu!" Jess complimented.

Jessica had picked up another kernel of popcorn, and was once again infatuated with it.

 

"Oh, thanks! I'm just leaving for my dress rehearsal for the showcase tomorrow night. Would you two like to come and watch the show tomorrow? We have so many talented dancers that are going to be performing, and it would be so much fun if you can come," Samantha said.

 

 

"Of course we'll come! I mean, you come to all of my concerts, and all of Jessica's karate matches, so why shouldn't we come to your dance recital? I can't wait to see you perform!" Jess exclaimed.

Jessica stared some more at her popcorn.

 

"Oh good! I can't wait for you to see my dance! I choreographed it myself. Well, I should be going now. See you later!" Samantha started to leave the room.

Then she stopped and turned.

"Um, you do know that there is popcorn all over the floor, right?" Samantha asked.

 

"Ugh!!" Jess grunted. Jessica stared.
